Clarence Loyd C.L. “Butch” Hall, age 76, of Miller Grove, passed away Friday, October 14, at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Graveside service scheduled for Tuesday, 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Clifton Cemetery Pavilion, with Bro. Wayne Darty officiating.  He was a member of County Line Baptist Church.

He was born on August 4, 1940, in Miller Grove, to Clarence Clyde and Nell Roberta Garrett Hall. He married Doris Middleton at County Line, on September 4, 1959. He enjoyed working in both transportation and agriculture all his life.

Left to cherish his memories include:

Wife: Doris Hall of Miller Grove; Daughter: Lori Hall (Roy Dunn) of Miller Grove; Son: Douglas Hall (Melonie) of Miller Grove; Grandchildren: Ryan Claxton, Kelli Urda, Ashley Claxton, Katie Hooks, Nicole Hall, Connor Hall and Kamryn Hall; Great-great grandchildren: Rhett Claxton, Kinzley Urda and Lexton Urda; Numerous other loving family and friends

dorsey-fausettFuneral services for Dorsey Juanita (Wright) Fausett, age 96, of Garland, will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the funeral, at 1:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Dorsey passed away Saturday evening, October 15, 2016 at Rittenhouse Village in Garland.  She was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on April 21, 1920, the daughter of Sid Clyde Wright and Ida Truman (Snow) Wright.  She graduated as salutatorian from Sulphur Springs High School in 1938.  She married Marlin Blanton Fausett in Archer City, Texas, on May 21, 1939.  After raising her two children, she worked at Employers Casualty Company in Dallas for 17 years.  She was a member of Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland for many years, and League Street Church of Christ in Sulphur Springs in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 17, 1992; and by her brother, Truman Wright, on May 5, 1984.

Dorsey is survived by her son, Donald Wright Fausett; her daughter, Susan Fausett Clevenger; her grandsons, Benjamin Wright Fausett and Damon Vidrine; her granddaughters, Kimberly Vidrine Denton, and Savannah (nee Beth Marie) Barnes; her step-granddaughters, Beverly Baird and Jennifer Gorham; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was known affectionately by her family as “She Who”, a name given to her by her children when they were young.  She had a kind and gentle spirit, and was much loved by her family and many friends.

robert-hawkinsGraveside services for Robert F. “Bob” Hawkins, age 90, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016 at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell with Bill Grant officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.

Robert passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Hopkins House.  He married Evelyn Inez Foote on November 5, 1944 in Greenville, TX  and she preceded him in death.  He worked for Cling Peach Advisory Board in food sales.  He served in the United States Army and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Smith and husband Dwight of Sulphur Springs, son David Hawkins and wife Dawn of Lubbock, grandchildren, Laura Smith and husband Robert of Sulphur Springs, Doug Smith and wife Kristi of Rogers, great-grandchildren, Chantry and Betsy Rayl, Kyle Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Ryann and Rowdy Sachs, Taylor Cathey, Drew Smith and Addison Smith.

In addition to his wife Evelyn, he was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Glen Leslie Hawkins.

Memorial Services for Annitta Wilcox, age 66, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held October 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in Sulphur Springs with Elder Durwin Hohhertz officiating.

Mrs. Annitta Nowotny Wilcox was born in Clarksville, AR on September 24, 1950 to Haskell D. Nowotny and Ruby J (Acord) Nowotny.  Annitta was a graduate of Hartman High School. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a lover of Jehovah and had a strong faith before sickness prevented her from doing some of the things she loved. Annitta married Ronald Wilcox on February 11, 1972 in Sulphur Springs.

Annitta departed this life Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald L. Wilcox; mother Ruby J. Nowotny of Clarksville, AR; mother-in-law, Lois Overstreet of Sulphur Springs; three sisters, Dianna Nowotny of Anacortes, WA, Jean Hatley and husband Ray of Eureka, CA, and Teresa Criss of Ozone, AR; five brothers, Cronce H. Nowotny and wife Jeannie of Garland, Arlis Nowotny, Don Nowotny and wife Cheryl both of Clarksville, AR, Antone Nowotny of Coal Hill, AR, and Ray Nowotny and wife Kathy of Anacortes, WA. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In earlier years Annitta worked with Ronald in their janitorial business. She enjoyed visiting friends and family and playing with her nieces and nephews. She loved animals. She was a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed her family and friends.

Annitta was preceded in death by her father Haskell D Nowotny.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1239 E. Jefferson St., Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.

dickensMr. Glen Roy Dickens, age 69 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, October 20th, 2016 in Tyler. He was born on November 4th, 1946 in Avery to the late Glen Dickens and Donie Combs Dickens. He was retired from Eastman-Kodak, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving honorably during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tracy Stone; grandson, Tanner Higgins; and two brothers, James and Jerry Don Dickens.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Martha Dickens of Winnsboro; sons, Shane Dickens and wife Kasey of Groves, TX. Max Stone of New York, Keith Stone of Winnsboro; daughters, Selee Duncan and husband Timmy of Hallsville, Stacy Riley and husband Tommy of Irivng, Laurie Caldwell and husband Russell of Cumby, Patti Sells of Sulphur Springs; brothers, Charles Dickens of Winnsboro, Jimmy Dickens and wife Anna of Winnsboro; sisters, Brenda Crow and husband Brooksey of Mt. Vernon, Linda Taylor and husband Curtis of Emory; thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro at 2:00 pm, Mr. Chris Dickens officiating.

Allen was born on September 20, 1948 in DeKalb, TX, the son of Robert Ceril Moore and Avis Ellen Caddenhead Moore.  He married Lynda Bargainier on September 30, 1972 in Mt. Pleasant, TX.  She survives.  He was a self-employed welder, mechanic and homebuilder.  He was affiliated with the Color Blind Anointed Ministries and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Shad Moore of Sulphur Springs, daughter, Shanna Landers and husband Jacob of Lubbock, brother, Kenneth Moore of Mt. Pleasant, sister, Lela Spruille and husband Tommy of Mt. Pleasant, grandsons, Caleb and Colton.

She was born on November 12th, 1923 in Wood County to the late Tillman Brian Turner and Myrtie Elizabeth Jones Turner. She was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon, and the former Mt. Vernon Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert “Bob” Harden; a sister, Juanice Wilson; brother, J.C. Turner; step-daughter, Nancy Farrell; sister-in-law, Margie Turner; great-grandson, Phillips Hamm.

She is survived by her son, Royce Carrol Cone and wife Alice of Salt Lake City, UT.; daughter, Mavis Owens and husband David of Mt. Vernon; brother, Edgar Turner of Winnsboro; five grandchildren, Troy Martin and wife Vickie of Scroggins, Michele Greenfield and husband Eddie of Belton, Melaina Ferrell and husband Chad of Sulphur Springs, Carol Ann Jobe and husband Mark of Wilson, OK., Tony Cone and wife Sonia of Lubbock; ten great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro at 10:00 am, Bro. Chad Greenfield and Rev. Carolyn Allbritton conducting, interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Troy Martin, Tony Cone, Powers Greenfield, Jessie Cone, Jordan Cone, Eddie Greenfield. Honorary- Jordan Ferrell, Caleb Ferrell, Zachary Ferrell, John Ferrell serving as pallbearers.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

Mr. Loyd Everett “Bud” Chaffin, age 87 of Rowlett, passed away on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 in Dallas. He was born on August 9th, 1929 in Oklahoma City, to the late Edgar Chaffin and Pearl Biggerstaff Chaffin. Mr. Chaffin retired from U.S. Steel, was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland and has served as a Deacon since 1969. He was a founding member of the Garland Emergency Core and was preceded in death by his parents and was one of fourteen siblings.

Mr. Chaffin is survived by wife, Lou Jeanne Faulk Chaffin of Rowlett; daughters, Paula Diane Horne and husband Jim of Greeley CO, daughter, Brenda Jeanne Jillard and husband Garry of Mesquite; grandchildren, Bradley Jillard, Mellissa Horne, Anthony Horne and Christe Shaul; great grandchildren, Makayla Horne, Kendra Horne, Noah Horne, Ella Shaul and Jackson Shaul.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Mr. Gibson passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 21, 1960 in Sulphur Springs, the son of Max O. and Lonelle (Wyatt) Gibson.  He married Sara Watts on May 23, 1980 in Sulphur Springs. He was President of Custom Shutters, Inc. in Como. Hoot attended Fellowship Christian Church.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife; sons, Luke Gibson of The Colony, and Jake Gibson of Sulphur Springs; brother, Jerry Spears; sister, Linda Jenkins; and mother and father-in-law, Bill and Jo Watts.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Studer passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at Diversicare at Lake Highland Nursing Home, in Dallas. He was born September 5, 1927, in Earth, Texas the son of Carl Charles and Gladys Mae (Goggans) Studer. He married Kyla Goggans on August 31, 1985, in Dallas. Charlie was a wreck estimator and insurance consultant and served in the United States Army, having served in WWII. He was a member of Wilshire Baptist Church, in Dallas.

Mr. Studer is survived by his wife; daughters, Katherine Morris of Sherman, and Betty Jo Farmer and husband Bill, of Royse City; grandchildren, Jimmy Jordan, Joanna Bowling and husband Joe, Misty Pearson and husband Robbie, Jason Farmer and wife June; great-grandchildren, Charlie Nona Morris, Katherine Allsup and husband John, Christina Kirkpatrick and husband Chad, Candice Gee and husband Tommy, Krystal Morris, Jimmy Jordan, Jr., Jake Pearson and Rowdy Farmer; great great-grandchildren, Braeden Rader, Anthony Rader, Scarlet Morris, Kaedence Kirkpatrick and Camden Kirkpatrick; brother, Francis Earl (Stu) Studer and wife Judy, of Carrollton; sister, Terry Sutton and husband Jim, of Carrollton; and special friends, Harold and Clarice Sager, Richard and Joann Quick, Rick and Gwenda Aber, and Joe and Mary Williams.
