Graveside service for George “Butch” Dawdy, age 70, of Greenville will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, April 15, 2019, at Nelta Cemetery with Jerry Savage officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Argenbright, Corey Argenbright, Jacob Reams, Kirk Reams, Bradley Argenbright, Austin Polley. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Dawdy passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Hunt Regional Hospital, Greenville, Texas.
Butch was born on December 3, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to George Sr. and Louise Dawdy. He married Barbara Argenbright in Dallas, Texas. Butch spent his life in the Landscaping and Demolition business.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Sonny Dawdy; daughter, Stephanie Wright; grandchild, Ashley Polley and husband, Austin; great grandchildren, Pyper Polly and Paisley Polley.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Christian Dawdy; brothers, Jerry Dawdy and John Dawdy; and sisters, Beverly Westbrook, Rita Adams and Linda Milstead.
