Funeral services for Betty F. Luckett Belcher Black, age 91, of Terrell Texas will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Pastor Gene Glaeser and Jamie Donaldson will officiate, burial will follow in Dunbar Cemetery. Visitation will be at 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow service at Dunbar Cemetery.
Betty passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Crestwood Nursing Home in Wills Point. She was born on December 26, 1926, to George Washington and Mattie Florwnce Woodson Luckett. She was the youngest of 18 children and she had only one child. She moved to California where she became the first female Federal Inspector in the United States. She was also a member of the Butchers Union. She was a 50 year member of the Turlock Assembly of God Church in Turlock, California,
Her survivors included, Daughter: Jean Belcher Donaldson Lynch (Glen) of Terrell; Grandsons: Kevin Donaldson (Becky) of Cleburn, and Tracy Donaldson (Jamie) of Poetry; Great-granddaughters: De-Anna Michelle Donaldson, and twins, Tucker Grace and Bela Cooper Donaldson; Sisters-in law: Gert Luckett of Canton, and Polly Luckett of Dallas.
Numerous other loving nephews, and nieces, and other loving family and friends.
Preceded in death by, parents, siblings, and husbands, Warren G. Belcher…. (farther of Jean)… and Richard Black….
